It is never too early to plan ahead for Spring planting! The location of your garden will be a deciding factor when choosing flowers so ask yourself, how many hours of sun, partial sun and or shade will your garden receive during the summer months and plant accordingly. My list of favorites this year were hardy, drought resistant flowers able to endure full sun for as long as twelve hours per day. The following choices produced brilliant blooms lasting from Spring through the end of summer, they were easy to grow from seed and produced an excellent cutting garden; Rudbeckia – Zinnia – Marigolds – Strawflower – Cleomes – Nicotiana – Snapdragon – Salvia and Sunflowers.
